Imaginative President, MacDonald Ukaeru becomes Rotary Club of Victoria Island East’s 35th President
On September 11, 2022, history was made again as Rotarians and friends witnessed the official investiture of Rotarian MacDonald Ukaeru, PHF, who was passed on the emblem of authority from Immediate Past President, Kola Oluyemi, to be the 35th Club President of ‘The Home Of Champions’ – Rotary Club of Victoria Island East.
The event, which saw the attendance of over 150 Rotarians, family, friends and guests took place at the prestigious Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The investiture committee Chairperson, Rotarian Mokesioluwa Seun-Adedamola, while delivering her welcome address, reiterated the importance of rendering selfless service to those around us, highlighting the Club’s recent distribution of 100 packs of raw food items to service personnel as one of the many ways to give back to our society.
During the event, Imaginative President MacDonald Ukaeru thanked the Club for finding him worthy to take on the mantle of leadership and, expressed absolute willingness to not only execute new projects, but to adopt continuity while collaborating with all necessary stakeholders to effectively ensure excellence and ultimate success in the ‘Imagine Rotary’ year.
